OFI is proud to support our clients’ Decarbonisation Strategies and net-zero emission goals by providing permanent electrification and decarbonisation infrastructure to enable the electrification of mining equipment and assets.

Design, construct and install of electrical works at Jimblebar. The project was split into two main scopes: NPI Facilities and Services scope and the LV Access Road scope.

OFI was contracted for the design, supply, fabrication and installation of EI&C components on SBR’s project, “Useless Loop Stacker Replacement Project”.

OFI was contracted to complete the end-to-end design, manufacture, supply and installation of electrical infrastructure to allow operation of the F1 Dam Pumps at the Residue Disposal Area at The Newmont Goldcorp Boddington open-cut gold mine in the Southwest.

Supply, install and handover of the electrical works for the Augusta project. This included works on the Transmit Group Building (B102), Transmit Chiller Building (B103), the Power Station (B105), the Operations Building (B108), the System Spares Building (B109) and site-wide electrical works. OFI also installed RMU and transformers for the 27 radar antennas.

OFI was contracted to upgrade the SCADA system, as Wonderware was outdated and no longer supported as part of the NCESS Reliability project.

Design, construct and install of a new machinery building housing the filter plant and associated equipment, a new K6 substation switch room, motor control centres and control equipment. As well as the services connecting the filter plant and the substation switchroom to the existing plant

OFI was contracted to construct and install the upgrades to bring the electrical, control, and instrumentation systems at the CBH ‘D-type’ grain storage facilities at Munglinup and Ravensthorpe, along with the ‘A-type’ grain storage facility at Hyden in line with modern standards and CBH specification in safety, quality, and compliance.

OFI was contracted to support RCR in the replacement works for Fortescue’s Apron Feeder at Cloudbreak mine site. OFI’s role included the complete disconnection and reconnection for Apron Feeder 215.

Electrical and instrumentation, and Hazardous Area installation and inspection works on the CG 32 Electrical Rectification – 0960 RAAF Base Learmont project.

Construction of Electrical High Voltage and low voltage systems, instrumentation installation and pre-commissioning of the new Chlor-Alkali project.

Design, decommission and install of the Berth 8 Ship-Loader Energy Chain which had a history of major failures between 2013 and 2019, having been in service for 24 years.

OFI was contracted for the design, supply and install developments on a new primary crushing plant, overland conveyor, surge bin, reversible feeders, power supply and other supporting works at Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine site in the Pilbara.

Installations and inspections for the 35MW hybrid thermal renewables power station. The power station details included 8MW high efficiency/low emissions gas generation, 1100kL on-site LNG storage and regasification facility, 4MW battery energy storage system (BESS) and 12MW solar capacity.

OFI was contracted by CBH to design, construct and install an A-type switchroom and MCC. Allowances were made to complete the sealed storage MCC enclosed in a modified container manufacture based on the BOMs from CBH drawings. OFI completed works involving safety relays, overspeed monitoring, PLC and control hardware.

Design, Construct and commission the electrical & Instrument control system, PLC, and site-wide fuel Emergency Stop System installation for the ship refuelling system, including a new purpose-built MCC and HMI, Installation site-wide fibre optic loop.

OFI were contracted to design and install upgrades at the Solomon Queens Crushing Facility: the 8.3 km overland conveyor, 4.5 km overhead powerline and 5,000tph primary crushing hub. As well as the design and install of a switchroom inclusive of all LV MCC’S, PLC hardware, HV Switchgear and HV motor starters.

Design, Construct, Supply and install 7 High Voltage kiosks around the Naval Communication Base to replace ageing infrastructure and ensure another 30 years of operation. The HEH Base mission interruptions are measured in seconds per year, so reliability and planning were critical to this project’s success.

OFI was contracted to design and install a fully functional temporary stacking conveyor capable of delivering 4500tph, and complete with support in modular form, readily transportable and easily erected on site.

As the selected EPC Contractor OFI delivered the Design and Construction, integration and commissioning of all disciplines of this purpose-built 3MW Power Station consisting of 6 Generators, a Switchroom, a Control room, fuel delivery and fuel storage systems.

Supply & Install of Electrical & Instrumentation PLC SCADA. OFI was contracted to complete E&I upgrades of RAAF Pearce DFTP fuel facility including all electrical controls for pumping systems, MCC modifications, ancillary equipment, construction, testing and commissioning.

Design, Construct & Commission. Supply and installation of new switchroom, MCC, control system, UPS, VSDs and power distribution equipment. Deliverables include documentation design, specification and supply of E&I equipment, interface with third-party equipment and testing & commissioning.
